A great way to boost performance confidence

Here's a great way to boost performance confidence that can be used pre performance/audition and during performance too!.

Think of a time when you were really confident (it doesn't even have to be related to performing). Close you eyes and remember that time...see what you saw , hear what you heard and feel what you felt. Once you are in touch with that really good confident feeling, begin to swirl it through your entire body faster and faster. Increase the feeling, swirling it through every muscle, every cell every molecule. Experiment with adding color, or sound or sparkles to the movement, expand the feeling so you feel 20 foot tall or so that your confidence is shooting out of you in a beam of light filling every corner of the performance space.

As this feeling reaches it peak...press your thumb and forefinger together. As the feeling begins to subside let go of your fingers.

Now, think of something completely different. After a few moments, press the same thumb and forefinger together and feel that wonderful confident sensation come flooding back.

Congratulations! You have just anchored this feeling of confidence and can use this technique before auditions, prior to performing or even mid aria!

Keep practicing this as the more times you "fire the anchor" the easier it will be be recreate this fantastic feeling and use it to reach your peak performance.

Welcome all

Firstly a very big welcome to all and thank you for taking time to visit my blog.

As performer myself, NLP, Hypnosis and the energy technique of EFT have helped me to overcome my own performance nerves and transform them into performance energy that works for me rather than against me.

Through these postings I will be  exploring and explaining how Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnosis and other positive energy work can help performers  to achieve their peak performance, overcome Performance Anxiety and step into the role of a lifetime!

I hope that you will enjoy this blog and I look forward to taking this journey together.
